Setting up for your craft sale:
Most organizers will allow you to set up for the sale about two hours before the event. Most people should find this to be plenty of time. You will not make any friends with the people holding the sale by arriving before that time and demanding to have access to the sale for set-up. If the sale starts at 8:00 AM you should be able to arrive at 6:00. Arrive earlier and you will likely meet a tired, cranky promoter who has not had enough coffee yet - not a pretty scene.
You will usually have a place to park to unload your items. Bring a cart and have your products stored in boxes for easy transport. Park, unload, and then move your vehicle to a parking spot. Do not leave the unoccupied vehicle in the unloading area - it will be crowded and busy.
Once inside, relax, place your tablecloth on the table, and unload your cases. Remember price tags or signs stating your prices. Be prepared to negotiate - many people will ask for a discount. You may wish to engage people and offer a discount verbally. But don't sell your items too cheap; unless you really need the money or want to liquidade an item.
You can increase interest in your item if it is something that you can actually work on during the show. People will be interested in how you make your craft.
Remember to have fun.
