Check with the people holding your craft sale, they should be able to explain any legal requirements to you.

The biggest item we are aware of is that of state sales taxes. In most places in the United States you must have a sales and use tax permit, or tax number, and you are required to collect and make sales tax payments for items you sell (if they are taxable). Be prepared to provide the show operator with your tax I.D. Number when you register for the sale.

It should go without saying that the items you offer for sale can not be illegal to possess.
